This website presents the musical legacy of Alexandre Zapolski (1951–2025).

Zapolski Edition represents a body of original compositions and arrangements created over decades of work with orchestras, ensembles, and students. The music is written with a strong pedagogical foundation and a deep understanding of sound, structure, and musical collaboration.

Alexandre Zapolski was a violinist, composer, arranger, conductor, and educator whose work shaped generations of musicians and left a lasting imprint on Danish classical music. Trained in the Ukrainian violin tradition and later a violinist in DR Symfoniorkestret, he dedicated his life to sound, pedagogy and ensemble performance.

Zapolski Edition represents his complete catalogue of original works and arrangements, designed for players of all levels to share in rich musical collaboration.

This website and catalogue are created and maintained by Alexandre Zapolski’s family.

Alexandre Zapolski left behind an extensive handwritten music archive containing his compositions, arrangements, and pedagogical materials. All works are originally handwritten, and the process of digitizing, editing, and cataloguing this material is a substantial and ongoing project.

For this reason, both the website and the online catalogue are continuously being expanded and updated as new works are prepared and added.
